Terms of Service

The rules for using Weekly, in plain words. They matter most where Weekly can be wrong: Classroom and your teacher always come first.

Last updated October 18, 2026

The short version

  • Weekly is a helper for planning schoolwork, free for students. Your teacher and Google Classroom are always the source of truth.
  • You need to be 13 or older. If you’re under 18, a parent or guardian needs to agree, or your school needs to have approved Weekly.
  • Weekly can be wrong or out of date, and it never turns work in for you. Check Classroom.
  • Your schoolwork and plan are yours and stay on your device.
  • Use Weekly honestly and follow your school’s rules about apps.

Agreeing to these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Aether Inc. (“we”, “us”), which makes Weekly. By using Weekly you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Weekly.

Age. You must be at least 13 to use Weekly. If you’re under 18, or under the age of adulthood where you live (for example 19 in Alabama and Nebraska, and 21 in Mississippi), you may use Weekly only if a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms, or your school has approved Weekly for you. A parent or guardian who agrees is responsible for your use of Weekly.

What Weekly is, and isn’t

Weekly is a planning tool, and it’s free for students. It reads your Google Classroom (read-only) and suggests small steps to fit the study time you set. It’s a helper, not an authority:

  • Your teacher and Google Classroom are the source of truth. Weekly can be out of date, miss work or get a date wrong, especially for work that only appears in an email or when Classroom can’t be reached. Always check Classroom and your teacher’s instructions.
  • Time estimates and steps are guesses you can change. They aren’t your teacher’s requirements.
  • Weekly never turns in work for you. “Mark finished” in Weekly is your own note; only Classroom shows whether work was turned in. Weekly doesn’t know whether late work is accepted.
  • Weekly isn’t made by, endorsed by or affiliated with Google or your school. Google, Google Classroom and Google Calendar are trademarks of Google LLC.

Weekly is in beta. We may change features, and we may pause or end the service. Because your data lives in your browser, ending the service doesn’t delete your Classroom work, which stays in Classroom.

Your Google account and school rules

You sign in with your own Google account and choose to connect Google Classroom. You’re responsible for your account, and for following your school’s rules about apps and devices. If you use a school account, your school’s administrator controls whether Weekly can connect and can turn that off. If your school doesn’t allow Weekly, don’t use it with your school account. You can remove Weekly’s access at any time at myaccount.google.com/connections.

Your use of Google services is also covered by Google’s own terms.

Using Weekly fairly

Please don’t:

  • use someone else’s account, or try to see anyone else’s information;
  • try to break, overload or get around Weekly’s security, or Google’s;
  • use Weekly to send messages that harass, threaten or mislead anyone;
  • copy, resell or pretend to be Weekly, or use it to break the law or your school’s rules.

Help messages are written for you to review. You decide whether to send them, and you’re responsible for what you send. Be honest and respectful with teachers and counselors. Weekly helps you plan your own work; it doesn’t do schoolwork for you, and your school’s rules on academic honesty still apply.

Your information and ours

Yours: your schoolwork, notes and plan belong to you (and your school, for school records). They stay in your browser, and we don’t receive them, so you don’t give us any rights to them by using Weekly.

Ours: Weekly’s software, design, name and logo belong to Aether Inc.. We give you a personal, free, non-transferable permission to use Weekly for your own schoolwork while you follow these terms.

If you send us feedback or ideas, we can use them to improve Weekly without owing you anything. We’d still love to hear them.

For schools and districts

If a school or district wants to use Weekly with its students, we’ll sign a written agreement, such as a student data privacy agreement. Where that agreement and these terms differ, the agreement controls for that school’s students.

A school or district may pay for Weekly for its students. Students never pay. Price, length and other business terms are in that school’s agreement with us.

No warranty

Weekly is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises that Weekly will be accurate, complete, available or free of errors, and we disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

Limits on our responsibility

To the fullest extent the law allows, Aether Inc. isn’t responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of Weekly. That includes a missed or late assignment, a grade, or lost data on your device. Our total responsibility for any claim about Weekly is limited to $50.

Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that can’t legally be limited, such as for fraud, gross negligence or willful misconduct, or any rights you have under consumer-protection laws that can’t be waived.

Stopping

You can stop using Weekly at any time. Signing out deletes your Weekly data from that browser, and you can remove Weekly’s Google access in your Google account. We may stop providing Weekly to anyone who misuses it.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that can’t be worked out informally will be decided by the state or federal courts located in California, unless the law of the place where you live gives you the right to bring it where you live. You may also use small-claims court where it’s available.

Before going to court, please write to us at legal@getweekly.study so we can try to fix the problem.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we’ll update the date at the top and say so in the app, at least 30 days ahead for a material change. Changes apply going forward. If you keep using Weekly after a change takes effect, the new terms apply. If you don’t agree, you can stop using Weekly.

The rest

If part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a term right away, we can still enforce it later. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Weekly, unless your school has a separate agreement with us. Questions: legal@getweekly.study.
